Medically Monitored Inpatient Detoxification Treatment
NET’s Kirkwood Detoxification Center (KDC) provides addiction assessment and medically monitored inpatient detoxification services to adults in Delaware. The 33- bed center provides comprehensive treatment with an average length of stay of 5 days. The medical and clinical staffs provide interventions toward abstinence on a 24-hour/7-day per week basis. Afterwards, consumers are transitioned to the next level of care, i.e. residential, outpatient, or medication-assisted treatment.
KDC is the only detoxification center in the State of Delaware and operates on a performance-based contract publicly funded by the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH). Statewide transportation is provided 24/7. Medicaid, commercial insurance, and private
pay consumers are welcome.

Consumer Engagement and Transition (CET) Program
The NET Kirkwood Detoxification Center (KDC) Consumer Engagement and Transition (CET) program facilitates early treatment engagement for consumers who have multiple detoxification admissions (three or more within a 12-month period). The program is designed to give its consumers a place to go each day where they are expected and held accountable for attendance and for remaining clean and sober while they await transition to a treatment program. CET offers a daily regimen of extensive case management services, psychosocial support, counseling, and motivational enhancement. The CET program, which operates daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., is a performance-based contract publicly funded by the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) and is evaluated by the Treatment Research Institute (TRI)
